2022 – 2023 CommBank Business Banking: Product & Customer – Summer Intern Program 

Summary

We are looking for 2022-2023 Summer Interns to join our Business Banking Product & Customer team in Sydney. This unique opportunity will allow you to develop a keen understanding of banking products and services to match our customer needs. The Australian Network on Disability (AND) is offering students with disability the opportunity to participate in Commonwealth Bank’s prestigious Summer Intern Program 2022/23 as part of Stepping Into.

Am I eligible?

• Applicants must be in the penultimate (second last) year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Australian citizens and permanent residents only.
• Applicants must have at least a credit average across their degree.
• Applicants must be available to work full-time, 5 days per week from 28 November 2022 – early February 2023 (exclusive of Christmas break).
• Applicants from all degree areas are encouraged to apply.

Our Product and Customer teams are focused on reimagining our banking products and services today in order to meet our customers’ needs tomorrow. 

Our Product Teams make a difference to our customers by developing an unrivalled end-to-end customer experience, supporting the full spectrum of customers’ needs from the smallest business to the largest corporates. 

WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU 

Our customers are at the core of our business! So you will need to bring a strong customer focused mindset demonstrated by previous customer facing experience. 

We’ll also be looking for your strong communication and stakeholder management skills and an innate ability to juggle multiple competing priorities while completing your degree, such as work and/or other extracurricular activities. We consider Interns from all degree backgrounds.

The program commences on the 28th of November 2022, where you’ll join as a full-time employee over the summer. Here you’ll get a taste of what it’s like working at CommBank through formal learning events and workplace-based experiential learning, to help you decide if we’re the right fit for you.

The program centres around 4 key elements:

• Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from University and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.

• Contribute: Give back to the community through graduate initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our graduate cohort.

This 10-week Program provides exposure across our diverse business. You’ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.
