DO WORK THAT MATTERS

Our Summer Intern Program is a challenging and rewarding way to get a taste of what a long-term career with us will look like.

Our Relationship Management (Commercial Banking) teams are the face of CommBank for our Business customers and manage relationships with all types of businesses, from small, middle-sized to larger corporates with turnover of up to $150M.

Our Commercial Banking Teams make a difference to our customers every day by providing dedicated relationship management across Australiaโ€™s major metropolitan areas. Our segment spans the nationโ€™s most innovative, dynamic, specialist and diverse sectors โ€“ everything from start-ups to listed companies!

WEโ€™RE LOOKING FOR YOU

Our customers are at the core of what we do! So bringing your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work is essential. Youโ€™ll be an innovative thinker, finding the best solutions for our clients and using your experience in customer service to play an important role in building strong relationships with clients to help them grow, improve and safeguard their financial wellbeing!

You donโ€™t need to be a finance wiz to excel in our business โ€“ youโ€™ll join the program with essential soft skills and weโ€™ll teach you all the technical parts on the job. We consider Interns from all degree backgrounds.

WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

The program commences on the 28th of November 2022, where youโ€™ll join as a full-time employee over the summer. Here youโ€™ll get a taste of what itโ€™s like working at CommBank through formal learning events and workplace-based experiential learning, to help you decide if weโ€™re the right fit for you.

The program centres around 4 key elements:

  • Shine: Contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business and our customers, within Australiaโ€™s largest bank.
  • Develop: Participate in market-leading training to develop your technical and soft skills. This will help with the transition to full-time work from university over the summer, and ensure you excel in your immediate and future roles.
  • Network: Build networks and friendships through unparalleled access to senior leaders, project leads and program sponsors, enhancing your personal and business profile.
  • Contribute: Give back to the community through Intern initiatives, driving positive change across our organisation and improving the wellbeing of our Intern cohort.

This 10-week Program provides exposure across our diverse business. Youโ€™ll receive training and networking opportunities, be supported by a buddy and have the chance to contribute meaningfully to our business.

How do I apply?

To be considered for the program, please submit an online application form by midnight Sunday 26th June 2022.

Position Description is available on our website.

Stepping Into applicants will also need to apply to CBA's online application form at www.commbank.com.au/graduate (July - August). AND encourages candidates to apply earlier rather than later to ensure CBA have ample time to offer, prepare and implement any workplace adjustments needed for the recruitment process.

CBAโ€™s online application process involves:

  1. Apply through AND website
  2. AND will invite you to interview. If shortlisted, you will then need to apply direct to CBA through their online portal
  3. Online assessments, a digital interview, and then possibly attend an Assessment Centre for a virtual or face-to-face meeting with our team.

Adjustment Options Available:

CBA are committed to providing support, changes or accommodations to candidates with disability at any stage of the recruitment process. In the past, they have provided adjustments such as phone screens instead of digital interviews, removal of time restrictions on online testing, large fonts, accessibility adjustments, typing responses instead of speaking.

Successful candidates may also be required to undergo a general employee medical check. AND are here for your support throughout this process if needed.

Who do I contact if I have more questions?

If youโ€™d like to find out more, please visit our website, email applications@and.org.au, or call 1300 36 36 45 to speak to a member of the Stepping Into Program team.
