We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a fun team environment, where you will gain customer exposure and be able to continuously learn and develop.

The role would ideally be full time (permanent) based in Auckland; however, we are open to part-time or flexible hour options for an experienced candidate, and remote working or other locations.

We spoke with the Director, Syndications & Agency who let us know the following about the role:

What does a day as a Senior Associate - Syndication & Agency look like?

  1. Managing transaction execution including, liaising with the borrower, managing the legal process directly with external lawyers and the lender group, ensuring KYC and AML requirements are satisfied for the lender group and that competition law and internal processes are complied with.
  2. Marketing BNZ Syndication capabilities by preparing pitch documents and meeting with customers and syndicate banks to market BNZ Syndications.
  3. Working with lender groups to obtain consents to borrower requests.
  4. Managing team workflow and internal reporting.
  5. Running lender group calls and meetings.

What is the team culture and environment like?

You will be joining a fun, collaborative and supportive environment, where team members work closely together across a broad customer portfolio. The team has a lot of experience and knowledge, so you will be able to constantly learn and develop.

What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?

The most challenging thing is managing the competing priorities across a large portfolio of clients. So if you have the ability to prioritise, with great time management skills and you enjoy being busy, then you will thrive in this role!

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

We are looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail, along with the ability to prioritise and manage their time effectively.

Ideally, you will also be an excellent communicator, with a strong customer focus and a "can do" attitude!

Previous experience within Legal, Professional Services or Banking industries would set you up for success in this role.
