About the Role
The Department of Transport and Planningโs Winter Vacation Program is a fantastic opportunity for students studying at an Australian university to experience what it is like to work in an organisation that delivers a wide range of projects that profoundly impact connections across Victoria.
We offer interns foundational knowledge and experience in the following disciplines:
The Winter intake will allow you to gain some experience in the Government sector. As an Intern, you will get to work closely with a team within the public service. It will give you the opportunity to put a major employer on your resume and to gain some insight into the type of soft skills you will need for a successful career in your chosen field.
The duration of the placement is 1 month during July and covers the needs of the business unit which has requested the intern. Key Accountabilities will vary for each successful applicant. An example of the skills covered in a common experience is reflected below:

This position requires the successful employee to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or medical evidence which confirms the individual is unable to receive a dose, or a further dose, of a COVID-19 vaccine due to a medical contraindication or an acute medical illness. To be considered up-to-date vaccinated, you must have been administered COVID-19 vaccines as determined by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI). DTP is requiring all staff to be Vaccinated and to have had Booster Vaccination (Triple vaccinated as a minimum).
