Forte Family Lawyers is a well-regarded specialist family law firm in the Melbourne CBD.  We provide expert family law advice to local, national and international clients.

We pride ourselves on our friendly, inclusive, collaborative and fun culture and working environment.

An opportunity exists for 2 law students to join our team in full-time roles as personal assistants. A job-share role will be considered. Although some previous experience in a law firm is desirable, we provide a full training programme which includes our document management system, practice management system, legal industry specific software and office administration.

Each role will support two lawyers and offers considerable variety.

A typical day will include:

  • Typing, editing and proof-reading correspondence (including dictation, lengthy documents and tracked changes), Court documents and publications
  • Liaising with clients, lawyers and colleagues
  • Diary and task management
  • Telephone enquiries, including some relief reception
  • End of month activities including billing
  • Additional administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of a busy and high-profile family law practice
  • Other administrative tasks as required.

Ideally you will have an interest in family law and have strong interpersonal, organisational, MS Office, typing and computer skills. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative and show attention to detail and a history of meeting deadlines.

Our core office hours are 8.45am to 5.15pm.

The minimum rate of pay is in accordance with the Legal Services Award 2020. Above Award salary is paid for those with personal assistant experience.

Applications should be sent to Jacky Campbell at jacky.pconf@fortefamilylawyers.com.au by 31 August 2023.
