Available in all of our offices, our First Nations Pathway Program is both informative and fun. The paid program runs for four weeks in either June 2024 or November 2024. It will provide First Nations university law students with a realistic insight into life at Hall & Wilcox.

You will have the opportunity to work with capable and experienced people across all levels,and be directly involved in interesting legal work. The work will be of benefit to you, our clients and the firm. There will be a diverse range of learning opportunities, hands on practical legal experience and mentoring from experienced lawyers. Dependant on the practice area you are assigned, you will gain experience in:

  • Legal research tasks;
  • Preparing court documents for litigated matters;
  • Drafting correspondence; and
  • Attending client meetings.

Program eligibility

To be eligible for our First Nations Pathway Program you must:

  • Be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • Be a permanent resident of Australia;
  • Currently studying a law degree;
  • Be motivated and eager to continually learn and develop; and
  • Have a passion and drive for a career in law.

No prior work experience is required.

Program commences: Either June 2024 or November 2024
