Working Hours at Halter

Quite flexible

At Halter people are trusted to take full responsibility for their work, so there is no rigid schedule for employees , but instead lot of flexibility when it comes to work hours. Every team member is free to decide whenever it is best for them to come to and leave the office, or whether to work from home (although working from the office is encouraged).

This role is not a traditional 9 - 5 role. It requires you to be fully invested, working at times long hours monitoring, observing, and testing. It is very common to take work home and work on the product, responding to messages while you are home and throughout the night. With unlimited paid leave, high amount of responsibility is put on you to respect this feature, take time off when required but to ensure that a respectable amount of work is conducted.

40 hours a week, though there was no time-sheet and when you start/finish work was flexible as long as you attended all meetings and completed your work.

While working full time during the summer internship, I used to work from 8:30 to 5, and sometimes later if things needed to get done. Currently, I am working 2 full days during semester, however, this is very flexible depending on my uni workload. So I have the freedom to take a couple weeks of during exam season, and reschedule my hours if I have a lot of assignments due any week.

Halter is generally pretty flexible with working hours but being a start up, some days are longer than others when there are things that need doing.

Work-from-home and work-from-office choices are there however, work-from-office is overly encouraged in my opinion.

Typical 8 hour work days however many colleagues I've worked with will work from home for a few hours in the morning / leave early to WFH in the afternoon. Execs have made it clear that they prefer people coming in to work in office if possible.
