About Equities

Jefferies’ Equities Division is a significant provider of liquidity, execution, and underwriting expertise with over 750 Institutional Sales & Trading and Research professionals globally who focus on providing best-in-class trade execution, ideas and service to clients. Graduates in the Research Division will acquire valuable experience in a designated team by working closely with seasoned professionals on assigned projects and tasks.

Research Graduate

Graduates are encouraged to think creatively, offer their input, and add value to the team from day one. Research graduates set up and maintain financial models for companies under Jefferies coverage and create charts, dashboards and supporting material. Collect and interpret company data to facilitate recommendations, conduct primary research from industry sources, assist with client interactions and client requests and meet with company management teams to understand their equity story and articulate it to the sales desk and clients.

About you

Successful Jefferies Graduates will be able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and client management skills together with strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills. The work is fast-paced, intense and intellectually stimulating.

The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate.

Who can apply?

Candidates who apply should have outstanding academic achievement in finance, economics, accounting and/or Law and be seeking full-time employment commencing in February 2025.

Ideally, a student who has completed or is due to complete their undergraduate coursework in 2024, has already graduated, completed a post-graduate degree, perhaps returned from travelling, or is currently employed in the finance industry but has not secured a suitable role and seeking to take the next career step via their graduate pathway.
