I believe Landgate is relatively diverse with a large number of women in leadership roles and in terms of employing people from diverse backgrounds.

Landgate employ people from a large range of ethnic backgrounds. My friend who works here is deaf and partly blind and he has worked here fpr a number of years and receives a lot of respect from fellow employees. Last year, the two of the four graduates employed for the graduate program were indigenous. This year we have one indigenous graduate and the other three (including myself) come from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Landgate is currently focusing on creating a more diverse working environment. Their graduate program which they held last year (which I was a part of) was targeted to the youth (under 25 years old). Currently, I see no issues with recruitment, retention, promotion, etc. The average time an employee stays with Landgate is approximately 15 years.

My organisation prides themselves on the diversity of their people and encourage Aboriginal Australians, young people, women, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disability to apply for positions.

Landgate I believe has a commitment to diversity, however they lack an actual Diversity Action Plan. Landgate offers maternity leave and child care arrangements, and I believe they make a commitment in recruitment to hiring diversely. Landgate has a good retention rate of employees with the average tenure being 13+ years, and the longest tenure being 47!
