Working Hours at Schneider Electric Australia & New Zealand

Generally it’s the usual 9-5 job, however, there will be times where you have to work longer to finish your tasks. As an engineer, you can’t leave something broken on a live site, so you have to stay back to make sure it’s back to working conditions. However, if you work longer one day you can work less on the other day. I usually work less hours on Fridays by working longer on the other days.

Timings usually depend on the employee. People start anywhere between 7 to 9:30 and leave according to their arrival times. Taking time off in lieu of extra time spent on a different day is allowed as long as designated hours are fulfilled.

The company is quite flexible when it comes to hours, but it also depends on your manager. However as long as you're doing the required work and hours it doesn't matter if you start at 7am or 9am.

My work hours are 9am-5pm. I haven't needed to change work hours for myself but from what I have seen other employees do, it seems that the company is flexible about changing work hours.

Extremely flexible

As long as I make up the hours stated on my contract and am present for a reasonable amount of time 5 days a week (with WFH one day a week) my manager is happy to support me.

2 full days in the office (always required on a Tuesday) and 3 working from home days. This is very flexible and depends on work load, travel time etc.

Company is very flexible in terms of preference to work from home. No pressure to work overtime hours as well.
