In Victoria, they’re offering Graduate opportunities in the following teams:

  • Melbourne CBD - Personal Injury
  • Ballarat - Personal Injury

With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll be a true champion of clients by:

  • Working under the guidance of a senior practitioner to gain experience within the legal practice, by assisting in representing their clients, and providing accurate legal advice.
  • Developing a proficient ability to effectively assess claims, including liability and quantum.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with clients and peers through exceptional communication.
  • Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail, and assisting with running a file load with a keen level of commercial and fiscal awareness.  

About you

The program is a permanent, full-time opportunity for those who have completed their law degree and are excited to take the next step in their legal career.

To thrive in this role, you’ll:

  • Have completed your law degree prior to the program commencing in February 2025.
  • Have a passion for social justice and a thirst for knowledge in the plaintiff law space.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be dedicated to delivering exceptional client service, with an emphasis on helping people when they need it most.
  • Be able to effectively manage multiple competing deadlines, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in Shine’s areas of practice.
  • Bring diversity of experience, and evidence of extra-curricular activities aligned with Shine’s work, such as volunteering or community work.
  • Be an active member of relevant association/s will be favourably considered, as will paid and non-paid work experience in the legal field.
