What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
It is very generous for a new grad. All the offers I got were less money than this one.

Uncompetitive pay compared to other SaaS companies in Australia. This goes for all engineering roles, not just graduate engineering. You get a stock package which can net you some extra coin, which is nice Despite years of employees politely and reasonably asking about it, the company has shown no interest in any kind of pay transparency. They have kicked the can down the road on that topic many times. Additionally, the company has shown no willingness to increase pay during the cost of living crisis. Instead, they laid off hundreds of employees. The board said they would take a pay cut and subsequently increased their own pay.

Xero's pay is not very competitive comparing to other software companies.

I think my salary for a grad program is very good and reasonable. I also like that all the graduates are on the same salary as we bring the same experience/skills etc.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Shares in the company. Free food and drinks. Company regularly takes us cool places too

Generous wellbeing leave. "Xtra leave", which is a few days of extra leave awarded bi-annually I believe (if you don't use it before the next set of Xtra leave is awarded, you lose it). Some discounts on a limited selection of products and services, but they aren't very compelling and the way to access them is a bit unwieldy. During the grad program, you get to do plenty of fun activities with your grad cohort near the end of the year -- some nice meals and an escape room or two

Xtra leave is great!

The 5 days of extra leave and free holiday leave. Also the discounted private health insurance. Also I enjoy having wellbeing leave instead of sick leave, which offers more flexibility and consideration to our health and well-being beyond being physically sick.
