The key to my current role as demand planner is a combination of hard work, dynamic decision making, and communication. These skills, although natural to some, can be learnt and I would encourage anyone to give it a go.
The coolest thing about my job is the firm's commitment to pro bono work. It's amazing! I get to be involved in projects that make a real difference, even at a junior level.
Try to understand the bigger picture. Understand what role your piece of work is playing in the bigger objective or deliverable that your team is working towards.
I chose mechatronics because I could see that people were transitioning towards a technology-based society and robots would become an integral part of it.
