We are looking for an Executive Assistant to join our Public Law team in Sydney. In this role, you will provide a high level of support to a busy and successful team of senior practitioners.
You will work collaboratively with other Executive Assistants in the team to complete incoming tasks. The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Diary and email management of authors;
- Travel and meeting arrangements;
- Drafting and amending documents and correspondence;
- File management including file opening and closing, electronic and physical filing;
- Invoice processing and expense reconciliation;
- Monitoring court lists;
- Maintenance of client databases;
- Preparation of briefs to counsel;
- General administration duties.
About you:
You will be interested in legal administration and have a willingness to learn. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role as an Executive or Legal Assistant in a litigation environment and will be a proactive and adaptable individual with a strong client focus. You will also possess:
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
- High level of capability with learning new technology and systems;
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and delegate;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, industry experts and clients;
- An understanding of billing and financial processes will be highly regarded.

Drafting advising attending conferences / basic court hearings.
As a graduate lawyer, i work across most matters the team takes on. Tasks generally include legal research, drafting correspondence, drafting court forms, attending hearings and assisting in management/discovery of documents. I am also able to solely assist the partner on smaller matters, which involves greater conduct of the matter in terms of managing the matter, the documents, client correspondence, providing advice and strategy considerations.

My only issue is that we hot desk, meaning a different desk each day so we don’t have the opportunity to make or personalise our own space.
