Pros & Cons

  • The personal and professional development opportunities and always being challenged in what I do but equally supported in the process.
  • Exposure to huge international matters. Working with colleagues across offices.
  • The people are fantastic and the work is challenging and interesting.
  • There is a flat structure in each practice area where lawyers are assigned work based on their capacity, interest, and knowledge.
  • Great team environment, people are caring and approachable, high standard of work.
  • The hours can sometimes be long and unpredictable and can be difficult making after work plans during the week.
  • The combination of hours, high expectations, and high autonomy can sometimes be difficult and can lead to burnout of colleagues.
  • Training in leaner, high-performing teams is a double-edged sword. You get more responsibility from the beginning, but this can also translate to longer hours and a lot of pressure.
  • The hours and expectations are quite intense and you will likely be expected to work some late nights and weekends.
  • Due to the nature of the work and client expectations, CC is not very flexible with hours.
